How to we get rid of blackheads and whitehead by Herbs

Maintaining a clear and beautiful skin, takes time, consistency and effort. Dermatologist may recommend lots of products, but some of them can be expensive and may actually take a long time to work. You can, however, incorporate some home remedies for blackheads and whiteheads into your daily beauty regimen and in a few weeks, you will experience a drastic reduction or even total elimination of the problem.

● Tomato – Tomatoes have natural antiseptic properties that dry up whiteheads and blackheads. Peel and mash a small tomato. Apply the tomato pulp to your blackheads and whiteheads before going to bed. Leave the tomato pulp on your face while you sleep and then wash your face in warm water in the morning.

● Lemon -Wash your face in warm water. Then, squeeze the juice of one lemon into a bowl. Add in a pinch of salt and stir the mixture. Apply the mixture to your blackheads and whiteheads. Leave the mixture on for approximately 20 minutes and then wash your face with warm water again.

● Lime – You can also use equal parts of lime juice and cinnamon powder and apply this mixture to blackheads. Leave it on overnight and rinse it off in the morning

● Cornstarch – Mix about a three-to-one cornstarch to vinegar ratio into a paste. Apply it to your problem areas and let sit for 15 to 30 minutes. Remove the paste with warm water and a washcloth.

● Yogurt – Mix three tablespoons of plain yogurt with two tablespoons of oatmeal. Add one teaspoon of olive oil and one tablespoon of lemon juice to the mixture. Stir the mixture thoroughly and apply it to the effective area of the face. Let the mixture sit for five to seven minutes then rinse off with cold water.

● Almond or oatmeal – Mix either oatmeal or almond powder with just enough rose water to make a spreadable paste. Apply it to your problem areas with your fingertips first and then apply it to the rest of your face. Let it set for about 15 minutes and then rinse your face with cold water.

● Rice – Soak rice in milk for 5 hours and then grind this in a blender until it is paste-like in consistency. Use the paste as a scrub on affected areas of the body.

● Potatoes – Grate raw potatoes and then rub the area with the mixture. Wash it off after 15 minutes.

● Fenugreek leaves – Crush some fenugreek leaves and mix with water to form a paste. Put this on the face for 15 minutes and then remove it. Do this every night to keep your face free of blackheads.

● Coriander leaves – Mix some coriander leaves and a little turmeric powder with water and form a paste. Use this as a mask to eliminate blackheads.

● Oatmeal -Grind oatmeal into a powder in a blender and then add some rose water. Use this on affected areas for 15 minutes and then wash it off with cold water.

● Baking soda – Prepare a mixture of equal parts of baking soda and water and rub it onto your face or other body areas prone to blackheads. Leave it on for 15 minutes and then rinse it off with warm water.

● Honey is also good for removing blackheads. Spread honey on the affected area and remove it after 15 minutes.

Remember – Be gentle to your skin. Never pinch, scrape, poke, press, or squeeze too hard!

What is Authentic Ayurveda? How one can get it?

So many people asking me about the authentication of Ayurveda, how we can get the real Ayurveda medication and treatments?

Such questions arise because so many fake people and medicines are in the market booming right now. And a single incident from fake Ayurveda medicine or fake Ayurveda doctor destroys the trust of patient completely. Such things should not be done in society. So here is some brief ideas about Authentic Ayurveda…

well,  according to me Real authentic Ayurveda doctor or its center don’t do any kind of Show off, i seen so many authentic Ayurveda Doctors who dont have good set up (due to der personal reason), but they are very much dedicated to Ayurveda n very knowledgeable too. Having good interior office or such set up is not wrong, but along with that real authentic Ayurveda doctor is essential.

Ayurveda is not spa or massage therapy…Its unique science with its unique rules of diagnosis and treatments. So Ayurveda Doctor don’t insist for the spa therapy ever. Ayurveda and Spa is different thing completely.

Real Ayurveda doctor must be BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery) degree holder and registered at State Ayurveda Council Board. So never ever go the fake doctors who juz done diploma in any related subject or Ayurveda named subject, or who are not BAMS degree holder.

An authentic Ayurveda doctor must diagnose the patient with Ayurveda protocol, Q&A session, and the other examinations. Then he does Diagnosis of Disease, Diseased Person and his/her Prakrutti.

According to the Ayurveda Diagnosis, he prescribes genuine Ayurveda medicines, advice Diet regulations as per diseases and body constitutes. And WHEN NEEDED he advise Panchkarma Therapies for that particular diseases.

Some fake doctors mix the allopathic medicine in herbs powders, that’s very wrong mode of practice. one can get good result from the medicine of Ayurveda but to get the relief in chronic diseases it takes minimum 7days of course with diet  follow up. If you find the miraculous result after eating one dose of any Ayurveda medicine, find it suspicious. Ayurveda is science its not magic which can decrease your chronic symptoms directly after one dose of it.  If you feel suspicious take the advice of other doctors and if necessary do the laboratory checkup at nearby laboratory.

People who are not qualified but claiming to have knowledge of Ayurveda from their elders / whose elders are Ayurveda doctors are also fake sometimes, so called Vaidyababa from Himalayas or so called spiritual baba or the person who claims to treat all kind of disease perfectly are also fake one. They can’t able to treat patients perfectly as they don’t gain the knowledge of it properly.

Panchkarma therapy (nowadays it’s called DETOXIFICATION – MASSAGE THERAPY) is only advised when it is essentially needed, if there is possibilities of healing via herbs n such internal medicines then there is no need of Panchkarma process. While giving such therapies to patient Genuine aurveda doctor confirms all the things including Prakrutti of patient and disease, age , current season and such so many factors.  According to me that so called packages of Panchkarma and only straight approach of Panchkarma are useless and not worthy at all.

Don’t buy any Ayurveda products directly after watching advertisements, ads in TVs, newspapers or in magazines are just way of marketing to sell their products. Remember Ayurveda is the science, its not a Health supplements. There is different medication for every individual.

To recognize fake person in this marketing era is difficult. So always consult Authentic Ayurveda Doctor and buy the medicine according to given advises. Self-medication may be not result oriented and may cause side effects too.

These are just examples where a patient can be cheated. So many loop holes are there in medical field. Both, Doctor and patient are responsible, and both can be capable to eradicate fake Ayurveda from society.

I am sure taking Ayurveda medicine from an authentic person of Ayurveda will bring healthy harmony in your life.

Holi falls on the full moon of the vedic month of Falgun (mostly in March).
The word Holi is derived from Sanskrit word “Holika” which initially meant “cereals (wheat, millet) roasted over fire “. This derivation gives much emphasis to the fact that the festival is Vedic in origin.
A reference to “Baishwadeva Yagya” is found close to Vedic period which was performed for four months starting from the full moon day of Phalgun month.

In this ritual cereals consisting of wheat and millet were put in the holy fire as an offering to God/Goddess and the remains after the ritual was distributed as “Prasadam” to the community.

This is very similar to the way Holi is celebrated in northern parts of India where cereals are tied to stick and roasted in the Holi fire and the resultant ash is applied on the body very similar to distribution of Prasadam, As with the magnamous history and diversity of India many legends got attached with Holi which transformed the festival to its present form.

Lets have a look at important  HISTORY – holi

Narad Puran described Holi as celebration of the vanquishing of demoness “Holika” who was blessed with immunity from fire.
Holika’s brother (Hiranyakashapu) was an aethist who was highly opposed to his pious son’s “Prahlad’s” devotion to Lord Vishnu. He tried all means to destroy his devotion and also him but failed .
Ultimately he instructed his sister “Holika” to carry “Prahlad” in her arms and sit in fire. On doing so conversely Holika died of severe burns but no harm came to Prahlad.
Holi as per Narad Puran is celebrated to commemorate this legend which on deeper levels describe the burning of material desires and social misconduct which occurs due to their pursuit in form of “Holika” in the holy fire and tread on the path of spiritual upliftment in form of “Prahlad”

Holi is celebrated after season of cold,in Vasant rutu.
In this season previously accumulated Kapha start melting in body and creates so many Kapha problems and diseases in body.
On this holy day of Festival ppl used to eat corn and dates. If we see its qualities, Both this can very much helpful to eradicate accumulated kapha from body.
Along with dat in Gujarat people r used to consume sugar candy, as it can produce godd Kapha in body.
In d evening time on d d ay of Holi, People get together and light the fire. They do “PRADAKSHINA” or dey move around d fire, as this heat can b benificial to eradicate Kapha also.
So celebration of Holi is very much benificial by Health means.

Phalgun Shulka Purnima (full moon) is the last day of the Vedic calendar and a new year starts from the next day , the advent of Chaitra.

Hence the bonfire reflects burning the deeds of past year and accepting the new with happiness. Holi also marks a change in climatic conditions as the Indian region from extreme cold moves towards heat and hence there is rise in “KAPHA” (phlegm) disorders due to its liquification from its accumulation in the cold season. This gives rose to epidemics and infections. Celebrating around the “Holi” fire exposes the body to extreme heat which helps liquefy and destroy the phlegm making the body resistant to infection. Even the acts of shouting, running and absorbing the flames are an indication to indulge in heavy activity to get rid of phlegm and expose to medicate fumes to destroy phlegm in the sinus of the head and prevent disease

Holi is known as “Madan Mahotsava” in south India. Since the fruiting season starts from this day it is considered as an period of “Kamadeva” the god of “progeny” and “carnal pleasures”. Hence Kamdeva is worshipped on Holi. This period is considered highly favorable for fertility. The period is considered pious with a very good reference to Lord Krishna who associated himself with “Kama (physical cohabitation)” and describes it to be pious and must be initiated without violating religious protocols as an act of duty and not lust. Lust deprecates a soul and makes it wander for ages and hence Kama must be used to beget offsprings. Hence “Kama puja” (now deprecated due to unavailable literature and reduced to uncouth meanings) was once considered sacred and important and was performed around this time.

Life becomes a celebration. Burning the past, you gear up for a new beginning. Your emotions, like fire, burn you. But when they are a fountain of colours, they add charm to your life. In ignorance, emotions are a bother; in knowledge, the same emotions add colour.

Each emotion is associated with a colour — anger with red, jealousy with green, vibrancy and happiness with yellow, love with pink, vastness with blue, peace with white, sacrifice with saffron and knowledge with violet.

Like Holi life should be colourful, not boring. When each colour is seen clearly, it is colourful. When all the colours get mixed, you end up with black. So also in life, we play different roles. Each role and emotion needs to be clearly defined.

ITALY – The festival of “Radeca” celebrated in month of February is very similar to “Holi” (Effigy of Chammpionnate is burned).

FRANCE – Normandy is a place where equivalent of Holi is seen. Here statues from dry grass are made and burnt from all sides with loud shouts of scolds and curses

GERMANY- During Easter, twigs and sticks are collected near a wooden pillar at set ablaze. Children have a fun day by smearing color on each other.

SWEDEN/NORWAY -During birth anniversary of St. John, people gather at a common place and have bonfire around which they merrily dance, sing wishing each other health and prosperity

SIBERIA -Siberians sings and dance over a bonfire holding each others hands celebrating the advent of summer

USA – The festival of Halloween on 31st October can be co-related to rites of Holi.

Holi is also called the Spring Festival – as it marks the arrival of spring the season of hope and joy. The gloom of the winter goes as Holi promises of bright summer days. Nature too, it seems rejoices at the arrival of Holi and wears its best clothes. Fields get filled with crops promising a good harvest to the farmers and flowers bloom colouring the surroundings and filling fragrance in the air.

It is said the spirit of  Holi encourages the feeling of brotherhood in society and even the enemies turn friend on this day. People of all communities and even religions participate in this joyous and colouful festival and strenthen the secular fabric of the nation.

Honey – The natural Healer

Honey is the very common n easily found in kitchen…
Let see some of its medicinal n Healthy uses—

Honey provides a natural sweetener that can be used instead of sugar. Honey is a whole food that comes from plant nectar and does not raise blood sugar as other simple sugars do. Honey also contains a variety of minerals and vitamins and has a long history as a healing food. Honey has been used as an antiseptic, antimicrobial, and antibiotic.

Antibiotic Honey Kills Germs
Honey has long been used for its antibiotic properties and research has now demonstrated the mechanism. In an article published in the Journal of the Federation of American Society for Experimental Biology, scientists explain that a protein made by the bees called defensin-1 is the active germ-killing ingredient in honey. The researchers postulate that honey may even be able to treat diseases and infections that are antibiotic resistant such as MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus).

Vitamins and Minerals in Honey
Honey contains vitamin A, vitamin B2 or riboflavin B3 or nicotinic acid, B5 called pantothenic acid, vitamin C, biotin (also known as vitamin H) and rutine. Honey also contains many minerals: including calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, copper, iodine, and zinc. The bee pollen in honey contains a great deal of protein as well.

Antioxidants in Honey
Honey contains antioxidants. A study at the University of California demonstrated that consuming honey can raise antioxidant levels in the blood. The darker the honey, the more antioxidants it contains. Dark colored honey from Illinois buckwheat has been shown to have 20 times the antioxidant value as sage honey from California.

Skin Healing Properties of Honey
Because honey has antimicrobial and antiseptic properties, it can be used to heal skin conditions. Hundreds of cases have been published in medical journals demonstrating honey’s ability to cure wounds and burns. Honey kills bacteria in the skin and speeds the healing of burns. It can be used to treat sunburns as well.

Honey in History
Honey has been used as far back as Ancient Egypt. Pictured on ancient hieroglyphs and stored in tombs, honey was mentioned on the Rosetta Stone. King Menes, an Egyptian King from 4000 B.C, was known as the Beekeeper. The use of honey combined with wine and milk for healing was recorded in Egyptian medical texts written on papyrus.

Why Ayurveda Science is worthy…

Ayurveda has some salient features that have made it different from other mode of treatments. Though basically all the branches of treatments have the same goal, to combat with the ailments and to offer the patient the best treatment possible in the form of medicines of their own systems every system of medicine has its own philosophy and approach. Ayurveda is no exception. There are certain aspects that have made it extremely different from other branches of medicines.

• According to Ayurveda there are three essential universal energies that have the power to regulate all the natural processes. Precisely, the power that rules the universe, to some extent acts in regulating the physical features of the human body. The three universal energies often known according to ancient scriptures the Three Dosas regulate the human physiology in an elegant manner.

• Though it is known from the ancient holy Hindu scriptures that Ayurveda was introduced by Lord Brahma for the benefit of mankind, Ayurveda believes in the absolute truth that The Protector of the Universe or the Great Soul (Param Atma) controls the human body too. His grace in the form of Ayurveda flows for the welfare of the human health. Thus the grace flowing from Nature (Prakriti) works in an elegant manner to help nurturing the human health. Hence man can be helped only with the grace of Nature. A breach in the harmony between Nature and man is sure to cause health imbalance.

• Ayurveda stresses on the system that if man tries to violate the systems of nature he is sure to be disgraced. Life is always vibrated with the force of energies that come from the Power that rules the Universe.

• Ayurveda believes that every man has its own individual system. In a word, every man is governed by some specific element Vayu (mental), Pitta (humorous) or Kapha (phlegmatic).

• Ayurveda stresses on the balance of the body and the mind. If mind-body relationship is hampered the health is at stake. Therefore, Ayurveda tries to heal both the physical and mental side of man when the time to treat the ailment comes in the forefront. In the Ayurvedic system there is the principle of the total treatment of the body and mind, not any partial one.

• According to Ayurveda there are certain therapies, diets, exercises for the ailments. The specific aim is to heal the disease from the root and to eradicate total disharmony of the mind-body relationship. Thus stress is not given on the disease but on the patient leading him to a vibrant healthy life.
